I'm from Brooklyn NY. Historically I always felt NYC was Superior when it came to make sushi. I live in Summerville so there's several sushi options we have but I didn't really find them good or tasty. And my friend recommended we go to this place and honestly by 4:00 best tasting sushi that I've had in New Jersey. It's very clean, it's a great talking atmosphere, staff is friendly. Prices are good. FYI parking is behind the restaurant. I didn't realize that before signing a parking in the shopping center across the street.

I had a really nice experience at East Hana Sushi. I came by myself with my two young boys, and the staff made me feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which made it easy to enjoy our meal. The service was attentive throughout our visit. The staff checked in on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and were patient and kind with my kids. As a mom dining alone with little ones, I really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating everyone was. The food was fresh and delicious, and the overall experience was great. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m craving sushi!

Unlike the majority of other reviews listed pertaining to taste and overall quality; I thankfully did not experience that and actually experienced the complete opposite when it came to quality and taste, and it being delicious. However, what was disgusting was the aftermath of the additional seven dollars in charges added onto my DoorDash bill from the restaurant because I ordered through DoorDash and specifically looked for to select condiment to purchase on my own to prevent this from happening, and unfortunately the restaurant does not offer that as a selection through DoorDash and now I understand as to why that is. Unfortunately, soy sauce was not included in my two separate dinner items that were ordered in my overall order. Traditionally, soy sauce is at least included by respectfully practicing restaurants. At least that’s always been my experience throughout the entire Tri-State area when it comes to ordering sushi and or Japanese cuisine in general. And so, I was disgusted when I received an email overnight from DoorDash with an update regarding an additional seven dollars for a total of six condiments that included two soy sauce’s, two spicy mayo, and two eel sauces. We tried the all-you-can-eat sushi option, which is $30 per person on weekdays and $32 on weekends. One person in our group had a seafood allergy and was able to order from the regular menu instead, which was great—some places require the whole table to do all-you-can-eat, so we appreciated the flexibility. The all-you-can-eat menu includes not just sushi but also appetizers, soups, salads, and dessert, making for a well-rounded meal. The service was excellent—friendly and quick—and the food started coming out really fast after we ordered. The restaurant was also very clean, which added to the overall great experience. Everything we tried was delicious! My only wish is that sushi rolls came in smaller portions (2-4 pieces instead of 6) so you could sample more varieties without getting too full. Some of my favorites were the pork buns, seaweed salad, shrimp tempura roll, and red bean paste ice cream. Overall, it’s a great spot with tasty food, reasonable prices, and fast service. Would definitely recommend!
